Welcome to Dead End!
Dead End started out in late 2015 when two friends came together to make a survival, apocalyptic role-play. The role-play went throught dramatic changes, and even took on new leadership for a short period of time. December 18th will mark Dead End's third year of being a semi-active role-play and we hope that we can change that to one day make the site flourish. Dead End is meant to be a site where all users from both the animal role-playing community, and human role-playing community can finally come together. Dead End has always been focused on mantaining a positive enviroment with helpful staff and members. While sometimes it is a difficult goal to maintain, the site remains under a leadership that can be trusted to make the right choices. We strive to make this experience as wonderful for you as it has been for us, the creators and long time users, role-players, and volunteers of our site. They opened up containment camps, but it was already too late. People had begun to die by the thousands. There was so many dead that no one knew what to do with them, so they started throwing the bodies in mass graves. The plan had been to burn the bodies and kill the infection they spread, but everyone grew ill and the plan fell through. Eventually, the dead began to rise, feeding on all living things, devouring the life they had lost. Lacking intelligence, they simply roamed and attacked every living creature. The military tried to eradicate the living dead, but there were too many, and eventually, the government toppled. The world was in ruins, most people die from either infection or from being devoured by the walking dead, but some managed to live on. They began to procreate, despite the impossibilities. Strongholds were made and held, and some semblance of normalcy was achieved. Small communities began to form, but resources are few and far between. Soon, these groups started to fight each other for said resources. When human is pitted against human, what sanity is left? Now, every human has an ulterior motive, and friend betrays friend. How will you survive the war at the end of the world? It's been two years since the last major city had fallen. The military was quickly overwhelmed, leaving most of the world to fend for themselves. By now, most of the weaker humans have been picked off. Survival of the fittest has never been more true, among the humans as well as the animal population. Challenges to life lay around every corner; hordes of walkers, hostile outsiders, warring groups, wild dogs, and other vicious creatures that wander the streets. It was rumored that San Diego, California was the safest city, and so the journey has begun. |

From every corner, the world is ending. How will you survive?
From every corner of the earth came the signs that the apocalypse was upon us. Famine and disease stalked every land and the death toll was in its billions. It was being described as the end times in the few media outlets that still ran. The big cities became derelict shells and the surviving refugees sought shelter in the countryside, where they were shot on sight for fear that they brought the disease with them. There were no more burials, the living would no longer approach a corpse, so they rotted out in the open with their unseeing eyes staring at the unraveling civilization. There is no more electricity as the workers for the plants have died and soon luxuries like running water and electricity had ended. With the breakdown of sanitation, people were suffering greatly, and this is only the beginning. |
